I sometimes use this over my professional trascoding softwares that cost $$$. Total Video Converter Pro is easy to use and can transcode just about everything. The only thing I wish it could do is attach subtitles and caption files. (.SRT & .SCC). Well worth the purchase!

This did exactly what i wanted it to do and it was extra easy to operate just drag and drop and select file type and away you go done deal

The app works well for the few times I use it. They have great support and are very responsive!

After looking at many, many apps to convert some older files to MP4 so I can finally edit in iMovie, I dediced on this one. I am very happy with this app. It was very easy to use and very fast and ever file converted. The only files that I am not happy with was from my Digital DV tapes. That is not the appls fault as my original Sony digital camera video came out great. My only gripe, as minor as it is, was there was no option to turn off the automatic loading into iTunes library.

I got this app because I needed to convert some WMV files to something more Mac-friendly. I tried several options that the app offers for conversion, but absolutely all of them produced results much worse than the original (especially the audio). If I knew how bad the quality was up front, I wouldn’t even download this app for free. And they say it’s on sale, seriously?… What a waste of time and money. Apps like this shouldn’t be polluting the app store!!!

I used this software on windows for several years. I bought it from the App store right after I got a Mac. This software has a good balance between simplicity and functionality. You can either convert a video with a few clicks, or open the more advanced settings to specify the detailed encoding options (which is very important for tech people). Also, you cannot find another piece of GUI-based software in this price range that supports a lot of different video formats and encoders. In addtion, I once has some problem in upgrading the software. I sent an email to the custom care, and got a prompt and warm reply, which makes me feel very happy.

I found that this video converter works sometimes and on other occasions it does not. I just had it bomb and send error messages. I also find the clipping tool to be very difficult to use. In fact, it is so poor that I am looking for an alternative. Fails to live up to the hype.

This app is amazing! How does it exist? The *next* closest program that offers even close the amount of conversion options as this is Episode, which costs $594 or Cleaner which also costs about $600! This app does a perfect conversion and I’m able to tweak anything about the conversion process, for $15. Incredible!

The software does exactly what its adverstised to do - it converts formats, quickly and efficiently.

I used to play .wmv videos with a Mac-compatible player. It was slow to load the video and I had to wait a few minutes before I could start viewing. Better than nothing, but not ideal. Total Video Converter converts my .wmv videos quickly. Once converted, they load quickly and I can start viewing immediately, even fast-forwarding! I am delighted to give props to any product that works as advertised…in this case much better than expected. Oh, and very reasonably priced! What’s not to like?

Works as advertised wish it would burn dvd’s though like it used too.

This is a good product if you want the full product download it from the developers site not through the app store downloading it from the developers site you get more features that you dont get when downloading through the app store I would recommend this product and have been very happy with the product

Unless you spend 24/7 working in video, you will never totally understand all the different codecs & settings in the various video editing suites. My choice of editor is Premiere CS5 which is missing a few output preset options, I feel. Rather than upgrade to CS6 for untold millions of dollars, this $15 dollar app does the trick. Its a lifesaver too. I received 6GB of video in a format that was foreign to me : MTS. I had no clue. Nothing would open it. So I bought this app. Yep. Did the trick. Its my go-to video can opener/compressor/lifesaver. cheers.

Quick and clean converter. Batch conversions were no problem. Worked as advertised.

I should have just thrown the money in the garbage.

It is wonderful to have a product like this available. No need to download of the web. Great tool.

On their support website, they state that they support VOB files, which is why I downloaded the software. Upon trying to import .vob files, I get an error message saying it doesn’t support these file types.
