Helps me save 3 times more space on hard drive. Almost no quality loss. Perhaps, a few percent of colours. Amazing so far.

Not a power user but I frequently need to convert large videos to a smaller format to place on YouTube or email. This fits the bill perfectly and I have had zero problems using it. Very simple. Would recommend to others. Frequently updated and the latest version works just as well as previously.

AS advertised & does EXACTLY what it says it would do! I highly recommend this converter app! IT will convert your video FILE.

I e-mailed customer support yesterday regarding the program crashing and within a half hour I received a reply which solved my problem. If you have crashes make sure your operating system as well as the software/program is updated to the latest. Thank you, Ruby!

Have been using the free lite version for about a year and finally bought the pro version. The guys that made the converter diserve it. Its even better converting many videos at one time!

This program works great! Just drop your videos on the app….select the format to convert to and select the destination and GO!! Hands-Free converting at it’s best…….. Buy This one! So many options……. KUDOS to the developers - keep up the good work!

Seems to work ok with most video types but crashes frequently when working with FLV’s. Would not recommend.

It has one job and it doesn’t do it. All I want to do is convert video for the web, but that’s too much to ask- it crashes, exports files with zero bytes, looses track of settings and countless other flaws.

I have yet to meet a file type that i cannot convert. The software is easy to use. Customer service is exceptional with their speedy response and knowledge.

I dont normally write reviews but this is the best file converter I have owned. Its simple to use and easy to make changes to settings. I used this to catelog all my CD’s to digital format to large server hard drive. Hands down the best. Yes it has its quirks and issues, but what application doesnt. It doesnt disrupt what Im trying to do. Best money spent in the App store.

I’m an audiovisual professional. I have a bunch of highly-compressed .ASF files from a video surveillance system to convert. My professional converter apps don’t do .ASF files, and I haven’t found CODECs that will allow them to unpack an .ASF file. Total Video Converter DOES do the job, although slowly, and with the CPU nearly maxed-out (you can hear the fan whine as it’s processing a day’s batch of 200+ files.) My computer has the Graphics upgrade, yet the program seems to do everything in the CPU. ANOMALIES: •Occasional [This program quit unexpectedly] events. •Some files are processed with a speed-ramp in them, i.e., the file will have a slow-mo section in the middle 2/3rds of the file, rather than playing real-time (although at a low frame rate) all the way through. These files seem to be where the processor works extra-hard and takes extra-long to finish the file (3x~5x longer.) PROS: •It works better than the other programs I tried. Compared to the way my pro conversion software (Adobe Media Encoder, Compressor) work, this program feels amateurish. But, as it’s the best at doing this particular task, I’ll continue to use it.

The vendor promised additional software to compliment my purchase from the App Store at no additional charge. No matter how many emails I send, he will not answer me, or give me any instructions on how to proceed.

Have a WMV and needed to convert to a usable file (say MP4). This app just DID NOT work. A waist of $15. Very bummed. I will say that WMV files should be banded from the world...

I needed a video editing app to do two things, speed the video up an crop out some of the frame. Unable to do any of these things because of the amount of crashing. I wish I could get a refund.

I don’t have a lot of need for file conversions, but whenever I do need it, this app does a good job, I haven’t found a file type yet that this app didn’t handle.

It really is a great converter app. It has many formats. More than I will ever use. And I love the batch feature. I am very happy with this converter.

The Audio is out of sync!! It’s completely useless. Worse, their so-called support page, has a list of faq’s and a sales pitch but no provision for asking for help. ps, there is a review of mine with five stars on this thing. It was a typo, completely mistaken. This product produces audio that’s out of sync!! I treied everything I could think of to fix it.

With this app I can convert my videos to iPhone-compatible formats and view them on my iPhone. This app converts video perfectly and is really handy.

It works great. Ive only had a few files that it couldnt convert. The ability to convert a batch of files is what prompted me to buy it. A couple suggestions: 1.) put the choices for the Tools (Combine files, multiplext audio/video, and extract audio/video) in the same toolbar as Convert. 2) allow the option to convert multiple files at the same time from within the program. (it can be done now, but you have to run a second instance of the program from the Terminal.) 3.) Provide the ability to set and retain defaults that arent lost when you relaunch the program.
